The Athlete

Ultrarunning is more than just running to me.

In fact, I didn't start running because I loved it. I actually didn't like it, I wasn't particularly good at it either.

I started because it was difficult. It was something I didn't necessarily want to do, but knew I needed to do to shape my self.

I wanted to learn how to control my mind because I believe everything starts there. My goal was to become more disciplined, and I chose running as a tool to develop that discipline.

Running has given me a way to explore my limits, develop mental strength, and discover what's possible when I commit to something for a long time.

I'm an ultrarunner from Costa Rica specializing in Backyard Ultra racing.
